Say hello to LionCity for this semester

if i would be able to reveal the truth of why i've not travelled to singapore for this semester, the answer is simple, the workloads from architecture are killing me. sorry to be emo, but that is the undeniable truth, over the semester, everyone has been like a workhorse trying to finish up their working drawings , final project and so called pre-grad event.

one thing i need to touch on is the johor CIQ. Lots of controversial issue has been raised about it. the best thing i can summarize it all is , it's a piece of crap concrete-steel structure which has been designed to occupy extra land in the center of the town.

I'd like to narrow down my verdicts into few parts. First part is the the sheer excitement when you enter the building, the nearest thing i can find to represent how the layout sounds like, is it is designed to confuse the people, making life worst for the old people and the disables. It's sort of like a maza which guides a person to the near end of the building, and go back to the front via a narrow walkway before entering the computerized custom check-in. Seriously, the layout of it has make me redefined what hate is acutally is.

and to make thing worst, the road from the causeway to CIQ main building is just just another scupture which is designed to be as narrow as possible. And that is just the starting of the problem, becasue while it is designed to be so narrow to fit 2 lanes which is suppose to fit a bus and a car side by side, you can't imagine the sheer gradients and curves that has been designed to be part of the road. The only road with such features which i can think of is probably Genting Highland. Can't the archtiects understand that buses which is loaded with people has to stop their bus halfway at the slope with together with the people inside who are already packed like sardine to stand slightly slanted to balance up themselves.

it's a huge structure marvel , but for everything else, it is not something which i will look into. it is far away from user friendly, it is not good for the drivers and the users. benchmark it against singapore Woodlands Custom is probably like KLIA to Changi Airport.

plug and play convenience

i just bought a new optical mouse, which is from Logitech.
Everything looks ok for the mouse, until i turn to the back of the box and i have found one important "feature" that Logitech wants the whole world to know. It is , the mouse has "plug n play convenience" feature. hmm ... sounds high-tech.
amazing! ... now tell me which mouse is not plug'n'play-able .

MacBook in pit stop

Well , i would like to post this on my Mac, unfortunately i couldn't do so as the BlackBook is in the Service Center for 'minor services' . How minor it is ? dont bother it . To be honest , it is as minor that most of the parts are going to be changed but not the whole laptop .
My MacBook black has been plagued with several small problems , which isn't annoying or disturbing at all .

Complaints :
- Adapter LED doesn't light-up .
-1 dead Pixel on my LCD
-OverHeating (once in 2 months ? )
-F3 key stucked
-Hinge produces sound. (only in cold environment)

Parts allowed to be changed :
-Adapter : LED Doesn't light up
-New LCD : 1 Dead Pixel
-LogicBoard(Processor+MotherBoard) : Overheating issue

Parts being repaired
- F3 key unstucked
- hinge has been re-oiled.

Becasue LogicBoard(MotherBoard) has to be sent from all the way from China Manufacture to Singapore , and then only distributed to Malaysia. As a result, the MacBook is still waiting for it's heart . Whilst the part has not been released by the Custom. Thank you to whichever custom which detained my LogicBoard for no good reason at all .

I have fully make use of my RM550 investment on Apple Care Protection Plan.
